Obituary: Ronnie Lee Veech Sr., 79, Bardstown
Ronnie Lee Veech Sr., 79 of Bardstown, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015, at his home. He was the retired owner of Veech Construction Company and a farmer. He was a member the Kentucky National Guard, and a member of the Kentucky Home Pork Producers and the Cedar Fill Old Timers League.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Valerie Veech; and his parents, Bob and Ada Lee Veech.
He is survived by one daughter, Vicki Ward (Wendell) of Bardstown; three sons, Ronnie Veech, Jr. (Kim) of Dallas, Mike Veech (Wanda) and Keith Veech (Shawn), both of Bardstown; one sister, Marilyn Nation of Mount Washington; two brothers, Robert Veech Jr. of Bardstown and Norman Veech of Shelbyville; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 27, 2015, at the Barlow Funeral Home with burial in the St. Joseph Cemetery with the Rev. Karl Lusk officiating.
Visitation is noon-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, and 9-11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 27, 2015 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may go to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and Alzheimer’s Association.
