One injured when pickup hits parked vehicle on West Flaget Avenue

Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015 — One person was injured Wednesday morning when a 2000 Chevrolet S-10 emslogopickup truck struck a truck parked in the 100 block of West Flaget Avenue.

According to a police, Jonathan Fortier was operating the pickup truck traveling east when it struck a parked 2004 Ford Ranger at about 8 a.m. A 28-year-old female passenger in Fortier’s truck was transported by Nelson County EMS to Flaget Memorial Hospital for facial lacerations and knee pain.

Bardstown Police cited Fortier for failing to have children in a proper child safety seat. Both vehicles suffered minor to moderate damage.
