Obituary: Teresa Carol Tipton, 61, Bloomfield

Teresa Carol Tipton, 61, of Bloomfield, died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, at her home. She was born Jan. 4, 1954, in Nelson County to Ernest and Almeda Trent Mitchell. She was a former employee of the Budd Company in Shelbyville and I.P.C. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Mitchell.

She is survived by her husband, Garland Tipton Sr.; five sons, Charlie Tipton (Stephanie) of Bardstown, Darrell Tipton (Patricia) and Gary Tipton, both of Shelby County, Garland Ray Tipton Jr. (Shannon) of Shepherdsville, and Todd Drake of Chaplin; her mother, Almeda Trent Mitchell of Chaplin; two sisters, Charlotte Gill (Bobby) of Lyons Station and Sheila Yates of Bloomfield; one brother, Doug Mitchell of Campbellsville; and eight grandchildren.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Monday, March 2, 2015, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Bro. Everett G. Hood officiating. Burial is in the Highview Cemetery at Chaplin.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2015, at the funeral home.

The Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
