Firefighters respond for sawdust fire at Chris’s Custom Cabinets

Monday, March 9, 2015, 2 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department was called Monday morning to Chris’s Custom Cabinets, 3640 East John Rowan Blvd. Fire units were dispatched at 11:43 a.m. for a fire in a sawdust containment building behind the main building. Firefighters arrived to find the containment building well involved in flames. Firefighters had the fire under control within 15 minutes, and spent additional time checking for hotspots in the containment equipment. Firefighters were on scene for about 45 minutes.
