Firefighters called for possible Bloomfield Road tractor-trailer fire

Friday, March 13, 2015, 4 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department was called out just after 3 p.m. for smoke and a possible tractor-trailer fire at 925 Bloomfield Road in front of the Dollar General store.
When firefighters arrived, the found the smoke was caused by an electrical short in the battery box and there was no fire. Firefighters disconnected the batteries and turned the rig over to a towing service for removal. Firefighters were on the scene for about 15 minutes.
