Police still seek suspect in Your Community Bank branch robbery

Friday, March 13, 2015, 6 p.m. — Police are still investigation the robbery of the Your Community Bank branch at North Third and Brashear Friday afternoon.
Bardstown Police were dispatched at 2:15 p.m. for a panic alarm reported at the bank. Officers were on the scene almost immediately, though by the time they arrived the suspect had fled the bank via the back door and proceeded toward East Brashear Avenue.
According to police, the suspect indicated to bank employees he had a weapon.
Police say the suspect in the robbery was a late 30’s light-skinned black male with a slim build and about 5’5″ in height. The man was last seen wearing a blue hoodie and blue jeans.
Police detectives reviewed the bank’s security video and security video of businesses in the area. A man who resembled the description was reported at the St. Vincent de Paul store about 15 minutes after the robbery. Police located the man, and after questioning him determined he was not the suspect.
The Your Community Bank branch is the former First Federal Savings Bank branch that was robbed on the morning of Friday, Dec. 12, 2014.
