Obituary: Mary Phyliss Clark Grimes, 57, Bardstown, formerly of New Haven
Mary Phyliss Clark Grimes, 57, of Bardstown, formerly of New Haven, died Monday, March 16, 2015, at her home in Bardstown. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Culvertown. She was born Nov. 19, 1957, in Louisville to the late William Oscar “Ott” and Mary Louise Donahue Clark.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Louise Clark Shain; one brother, James Oscar Clark; and one stepdaughter, Tabitha Montgomery.
She is survived by her husband, Carlos Masil Grimes of Bardstown; one daughter, Jessica Marie (Rico) Mason of Bardstown; one son, William Matthew Holcomb; two stepsons, Elmer (Jackie) Montgomery and Joseph Montgomery; three sisters, Jennie (Matin) Flahiff of Bardstown, Angela (Joe Paul) Smith and Pamela Shain, both of New Haven; two brothers, Phillip Wayne Clark and William Carl (Betsey) Clark, both of New Haven; 11 grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Culvertown with the Rev. Troy Overton officiating. Burial is in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Holy Cross.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2015, and 8:30-10 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at the funeral home with a prayer service at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of the William R. Rust Funeral Home, 167 N. Main St. in New Haven.
The William R. Rust Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
