Firefighters called Saturday afternoon to active alarm on South Sitka

Saturday, March 21, 2015, 9 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department responded Saturday afternoon to a reported active fire alarm in the 100 block of South Sitka. Firefighters were dispatched at 4:24 Saturday for the alarm. Firefighters determined the alarm was activated by food left on the stove. Fire crews used their equipment to remove smoke from the home. They were on the scene for about 20 minutes.
