Obituary: Henry ‘Earl’ Owens Jr., 86, New Haven

HENRY ‘EARL’ JONES JR.

Henry “Earl” Owens Jr., 86, of New Haven, died Sunday, March 22, 2015, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. He was born April 12, 1928, in Louisville to the late Henry Earl Sr. & Zelma Rosa Ash Owens. He was a former floor and tile installer. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a former Mason and VFW member, and a member of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Lorene Casey Owens of New Haven.

The funeral is noon Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in Bardstown. Burial will be in Lebanon National Cemetery with military honors.

Visitation is 11 a.m.-noon Wednesday at the funeral home.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
