Obituary: Joseph Kenneth ‘Kenny’ Culver, 73, New Haven
Joseph Kenneth “Kenny” Culver, 73, of New Haven, died Saturday, March 28, 2015, at his home in New Haven. He was retired from American Greetings with more than 20 years of service. He was a member of St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in New Haven. He was born in New Haven to the late Joseph Edwin “Adrian” and Elizabeth Marie Smith Culver.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Ann Culver Rogers and Bobby Culver; one brother, Harold Culver; and one grandson, Tyler O’Bryan.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sara Ann Beam Culver of New Haven; three daughters, Fran (Rick) O’Bryan and Tink Culver, both of New Haven and Beth (Stacy) Faulkner of Bardstown; two sons, Steve Culver and Pat (Angela) Culver, both of New Haven; five sisters, Betty Wimsett, Allie (Joe) Mahoney and Judy (B) Cecil, all of New Haven, Shirley (Leo) Spalding of Bardstown and Rose Mary (Phillip) Bradley of Martinez, Ga.; two brothers, Freddie (Jo Ann) Culver of Wilmore and Raffo (Bootsie) Culver of New Haven; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in New Haven with the Rev. Troy Overton officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2015, and 8-10 a.m. Tuesday at the William R. Rust Funeral Home, 167 North Main St., New Haven with a prayer service at 6 p.m. Monday.
