Obituary: Galen Dwayne Freeman, 43, Bardstown
Galen Dwayne Freeman, 43, of Bardstown, died Monday, March 30, 2015, at University Hospital in Louisville. He was born Nov. 9, 1971, in Corbin to H.E. and Maureen Lashley Freeman.
He received his Associates degree in Technology Management for Ivy Tech of Indiana and worked as an ink processor for Publishers Printing in Shepherdsville for 17-1/2 years. He also worked at Wal-Mart in Shepherdsville. He was a member of the Central Kentucky RC Pullers, Rick’s Archery, and the Model Cars Club. He also loved hunting and being out on the open road with his motorcycle.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Gail Davidson Freeman; one stepson, Jonathan Davidson (Michelle Bray) of Shepherdsville; his parents, H.E. and Maureen Lashley Freeman of Corbin; two brothers, Stacey Sebastian (Jennifer) of El Paso, Texas and Troy Sebastian of Corbin; one stepgrandson, Abel Langley Davidson; his aunts and uncles, Jay and Donetta Freeman of Corbin, Linda and Bob Nugent of Leitchfield; and his cousins, Tammy Nugent and Shane Nugent, both of Leitchfield.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in Bardstown, with Chaplain Dixie Kimberlin officiating. Burial is in the Bardstown Cemetery.
Visitation is noon-8 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2015 and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
