SR. MARTHA BELKE, SL
Sr. Martha Belke, SL, 87, of Nerinx, died Sunday, April 12, 2015, at the Loretto Motherhouse Infirmary. She was born Oct. 24, 1927, in Louisville to the late John Phillip Belke and Mary Catherine Huff. She entered religious life in 1945 and received her final vows Aug. 15, 1951. She attended Nazareth College in Louisville where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry. Her teaching assignments were in Colorado, Illinois, Texas, New Mexico and Alabama. In recent years, she worked in the finance office of the Loretto Motherhouse Infirmary at Nerinx.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Thursday, April 16, 2015, at the Loretto Motherhouse Church, 515 Nerinx Road, Nerinx, with burial in the Motherhouse Cemetery.
Visitation is 10 a.m.- 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at the Motherhouse.
The Mattingly Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
