Obituary: James Randal Mattingly, 74, Bardstown

James Randal Mattingly, 74, of Bardstown, died Thursday, April 16, 2015, at his home. He was born Sept. 30, 1940, in New Hope. He was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Bardstown.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis Cleophas and Mary Madonna Smith Mattingly and one brother, Francis Fabian Mattingly.

Survivors include one sister, Barbara Sue Saltsman of Mount Washington and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is noon Monday at Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto with burial in the St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery in New Hope with the Rev. Joe Batcheldor officiating.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday, April 19, 2015, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto.

The Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto is in charge of the arrangements.
