Woman injured after fall into fire pit early Saturday morning

Saturday, April 18, 2015, 11 a.m. — A 36-year-old woman was injured early Saturday morning after she fell into an outdoor fire pit. Nelson County EMS was dispatched at 3:14 a.m. to respond for the report of the woman who suffered burns from a fall at a home in the 2600 block of Icetown Road. EMS transported the woman to Flaget Memorial Hospital for treatment of first and second-degree burns on her left hand and wrist.
