Sunday, April 19, 2015, 1:50 a.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department responded to an active fire alarm at 10 p.m. Saturday night at the visitor’s center at My Old Kentucky Home State Park, 501 East Stephen Foster. Firefighters investigated the active alarm and determined that a fog machine used during a high school prom at the facility activated a detector. Firefighters advised them to not use the machine in the building. Firefighters returned to the visitor’s center for a second active alarm at 1:19 a.m. Sunday morning for a smoke detector problem. Fire crews cleared the detector and reset the alarm. They were on scene for about 5 minutes.
