KHEAA rep available for free college planning services in Nelson County

Monday, April 20, 2015 — A representative from the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA) is available in Nelson County to assist students, parents and schools that want help with financial aid for college.

Toni Wiley is available year-round to provide free higher education and financial aid assistance, which includes help with guidance through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) process.

Wiley can lead students in career exploration activities, assist with the admissions application process, help students explore scholarship opportunities and other funding options. She also works to build motivation for at-risk students.

She is also available to provide training on available programs and resources to school staff, media outlet representatives, adult education providers and others in the community interested in increasing college access for their clients or members.

Wiley is the West Central Kentucky regional outreach counselor for the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA), a state agency. She can be reached at tmwiley@kheaa.com or at 270-403-9468. KHEAA’s services are provided free to Kentuckians.

KHEAA administers the Kentucky Educational Excellence Scholarship (KEES), need-based grants and other programs to help students pay their higher education expenses.
