Burglars steal family’s pet during home break-in on Thursday afternoon

Monday, April 20, 2015, 11:30 a.m. — Bardstown Police are asking for the public’s help in solving a burglary that took place at 12:35 p.m. on Thursday, April 16.

The victim’s home was near Wal-Mart on Springfield road. The burglars took electronics and jewelry, as well as the family’s pet, a five-year-old Yorkie named Romeo.

The suspects are described as light-skinned white males who were driving a silver “toyota-ish” vehicle, possibly an early 2000s model. A witness observed one of the suspects running frantically in the area carrying a pillowcase.
