Obituary: Virgie Hollon Smith Guernsey, 91, Hodgenville

Virgie Hollon Smith Guernsey, 91, of Hodgenville, formerly of Lebanon, died Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Sunrise Manor Care Center in Hodgenville. She was born Sept. 24, 1923, in Gravel Switch.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Hamilton and Grace Henson Hollon; and three brothers, Charlie Hollon, George Hollon and Harold Hollon.

Survivors include one daughter, Deborah Smith Foster of Louisville; one son, Lynn Henson Smith; four sisters, Dorothy Mattingly, Bobby Murphy, Mary Murphy, all of Lebanon, and Eddie Roution of Campbellsville; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at the Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon officiated by Bro. Steve Lee. Burial is in the Old Liberty Cemetery.

Visitation is 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

The Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon is in charge of arrangements.
