Driver escapes injury after falling asleep, hitting parked cars Sunday

Monday, April 20, 2015, 8 p.m. — No one was injured early Sunday morning in a crash involving a Dodge Charger whose driver fell asleep in the 9000 block of Louisville Road. The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash involving the Charger, which ran off the road and struck two parked vehicles at 7:31 a.m. Sunday. According to police, the car also struck and damaged a utility pole. The Charger suffered severe damage in the crash. Louisville Road traffic was shut down while a wrecker removed the vehicle. Police were on the scene for about hour.
