Stolen Yorkie found in Louisville, has now returned home to his owners

Wednesday, April 22, 2015, 4 p.m. — Romeo, the Yorkie stolen last Thursday during a burglary of a home on Springfield Road, was recovered Wednesday after a Louisville resident located him and turned him over to Louisville Metro Animal Services.

Romeo was found in good condition, but very dirty, according to police. He was transported back to his family Wednesday by Bardstown Police Detective Lynn Davis.

Police are still seeking suspects in the burglary. The burglars took electronics and jewelry as well as Romeo. The suspects are described as light-skinned white males who were driving a silver “toyota-ish” vehicle, possibly an early 2000s model.
