Obituary: Sylvia Jean Walker, 88, Lebanon Junction

Sylvia Jean Walker, 88, of Lebanon Junction, died Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at Hardin Memorial Hospital. She was a Catholic by faith, a former employee of Holiday House Restaurant and a volunteer at St. Benedict School.

funeral_doveShe was preceded in death by her husband, Gwinn “Walt” Walker; two stepchildren, Pat Walker and Tim Walker; her parents, William Byrtle and Winifred Miles Moore; four sisters, Thelma Morrison, Leora Montgomery, Helen Phillips and Patty Ann Moore; and three brothers, Frank Moore, Corky Moore and John Moore.

Survivors one daughter, Wendy Parrish (Mike) of Lebanon Junction; two sons, C.W. Warden (Judy) of Brooks and Rick Warden (Malea) of Boston; two stepchildren, Pam Walker and Dawn Walker; two sisters, Madeline Crump and Ollie Engle, both of Lebanon Junction; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The funeral is noon Saturday, April 25, 2015, at the Kappel Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction with Chaplain Terry Troutman officiating. Burial is in the Lebanon Junction City Cemetery.

Visitation is 1-8 p.m. Friday, April 24, 2015, and 10 a.m.-noon Saturday at the funeral home.

The Kappel Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction is in charge of the arrangements.
