Driver injured in single-vehicle pickup truck crash on Loretto Road

Friday, April 24, 2015, 9:45 p.m. — A 60-year-old man was injured Friday afternoon in a single-vehicle accident on Loretto Road past Heaven Hill. At 3:51 p.m., Nelson County EMS and the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched for what initially was reported as a two-vehicle injury accident. The victim was driving a Ford F-350 dually pickup truck. He was taken by EMS to Flaget Memorial Hospital with complaints of back pain, abdominal pain and knee pain. The crash backed-up traffic on Loretto Road for about 40 minutes.
