Obituary: Alma Curtsinger, 76, Bardstown

Alma Curtsinger, 76, of Bardstown, died Friday, April 24, 2015, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. She was born Sept. 6, 1938, in Bloomfield to the late Milton Sr., and Eva Frances King Richardson. She funeral_dovewas a former employee of the Bardstown Board of Education as a custodian for 15 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Nelson County Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Michael and Ronnie Curtsinger; and four brothers, Till Richardson, Buckie Richardson, Herbert Richardson and Dub Richardson.

She is survived by three daughters, Rita (JM) Cecil and June (David) Spalding, both of New Haven, and Eva (Tom) Reid of Georgetown; and three sons, Donald (Debra) Curtsinger of Louisville, Jimmy (Kay) Curtsinger of Cox’s Creek and Jamie Curtsinger (Vicki) of Bardstown; three sisters, Alice Gelhaus of Louisville, Jean Humphrey and Emma Harrison both of Jeffersontown; 15 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with Bro. Darrell Goodlett officiating. Burial is in Cox’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Monday, April 27, 2015, and 8:30-11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in Bardstown is in charge of arrangements.
