Obituary: Gloria Ann Newton Clark, 58, Bardstown

GLORIA ANN NEWTON CLARK

Gloria Ann Newton Clark, 58, of Bardstown, died Monday, April 27, 2015, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. She was a Catholic by faith and she attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was a former employee of Flaget Memorial Hospital with more than 30 years of service. She will be remembered for her compassion for others and her giving nature.

She was preceded in death by one son, Allen Clark; her parents, James Paschal and Margaret Weathers Newton; one sister, Mary Willie Greenwell; and two brothers, Ronald Lane Newton and Joseph Lane Newton.

Survivors include one daughter, Melissa Taylor (Allen) of Holy Cross; one son, Mark Clark (Vanessa) of Bardstown; five siblings, PJ Newton and Steve Newton (Ann), both of Holy Cross, Marion Newton of Bardstown, Katie Ball (Evan) of Cox’s Creek and Tammy Jackson of New Haven; four grandchildren, Destiney Paige Smith, Austyn Levi Taylor, Hannah Danielle Taylor and Emma Lily Clark; the father of her children, Tenny Clark of Bardstown; a special friend, Greg Dones of Boston; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Thursday, April 30, 2015, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church. Burial is in the church cemetery.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2015, and 9-10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven with a prayer service at 3 p.m. Wednesday.
