Obituary: Lillian Nola Walker, 87, Bloomfield

LILLIAN NOLA WALKER

Lillian Nola Walker, 87, of Bloomfield, died Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville. She was born June 18, 1927, in Washington County to the late Luther J. and Maggie Gibbs Hardin. She was the former owner and operator of a grocery store in Louisville. She was of the Christian faith and was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Walker; three sisters, Lucille Trent, Loraine Ice, and Dorothy Beck; and six brothers, Raymond Hardin, Cecil Hardin, Herbert Hardin, John I. Hardin, Robert Hardin and Luther Hardin Jr.

She is survived by one sister, Juanita Burdon of Louisville; one brother, Herman “Bud” (Mary Ruth) Hardin of Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is noon Friday, May 1, 2015, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Bro. Richard Carwile officiating. Burial is in Highland Memory Garden at Mount Washington.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the funeral home.

The Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
