JAMES BERNARD ‘BUNNIE’ MUDD

James Bernard “Bunny” Mudd, 85, of Bardstown, died Thursday, April 30, 2015, at Life Care Center of Bardstown. He was born Sept. 2, 1929, in Washington County. He was an Army veteran and served during the Korean Conflict. He retired from General Electric and was owner of Mudd Painting Service. He was a member of the American Legion Post 121, a member of the Knights of Columbus 4180 in Springfield and a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his infant son, James Stephen Mudd; his parents, Eugene and Pearl Mudd; three sisters, Roberta McIntire, Sr. Jean Gertrude Mudd and Angela Peterson; and two brothers, H.P. Mudd and Gonza Mudd.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rosetta Mudd of Bardstown; four daughters, Sandra Mattingly (Ricky), Charlotte Hagan (Tony), Denise Terrell (George) and Audrey Albertson (Gary), all of Bardstown; five sons, Timmy Mudd (Debbie H.), Don Mudd (Debbie E.), David Mudd (Gina), Mark Mudd (Donna) and Danny Mudd, all of Bardstown; two sisters, Gertrude Nally (Sheridan) and Geneva Mudd, both of Fredericktown; two brothers, Tom Mudd and Joe Mudd, both of Fredericktown; 19 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 10 a.m. Saturday, May 2, 2015, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery with the Rev. Matthew Hardesty officiating.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2015, and 8-9:15 a.m. Saturday at the Barlow Funeral Home with a prayer service 7 p.m. Friday.

Memorial contributions may go towards Holy Trinity Catholic Church, St. Rose Catholic Church or St. Monica Catholic Church.

The Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
