Obituary: Alta Crowe, 86, Bardstown

Alta Crowe, 86, of Bardstown, died Thursday, May 21, 2015, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. She was born May 28, 1928, in Ohio County to the late Shelby and Cora Raymer Ferguson.

She was preceded in death by her husband Homer Crowe; her stepmother, Clore Ferguson; and one brother, Raymond Ferguson.

She is survived by two sons, Don Crowe (Mary Ann) of Bardstown and Danny Crowe of Shepherdsville; one sister, Dorothy Bales (Kenny) of Indiana; three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with the Rev. Karl Lusk officiating. Burial is in Highland Memory Garden in Mount Washington.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday, May 25, 2015, and 8:30-11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
