Obituary: Bernard Leroy Miles, 74, Lebanon
Bernard Leroy Miles, 74, of Lebanon, died Sunday, May 24, 2015, at Norton Hospital in Louisville. He was born Feb. 9, 1941, in Washington County to the late Joseph Roy and Mary Theresa Smith Miles.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Elaine Higdon and an infant sister.
Survivors include four sisters, Judy Abell of Lexington, Shirley Downs (Ronnie) of Stamping Ground, Valarie Hacker (Ed) of Raywick and Penny Kirkland (Phillip) of Bradfordsville; three brothers, Ivo Miles (Becky) of Lebanon, Kenneth Miles (Marie) of Perry, Ga. and Donnie Miles (Nancy) of Raywick; and a number of nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 235 S. Spalding Avenue, Lebanon with burial in the St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Raywick.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Monday, May 25, 2015, and 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday by Deacon Joseph R. Dant.
