Obituary: James Robert ‘Coola’ or ‘Smoola’ Murray, 48, Bardstown

JAMES ROBERT MURRAY

James Robert “Coola” or”Smoola” Murray, 48, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at his residence. He was born Dec. 19, 1966, to the late Robert and Mary Helen Stone Murray. He was a graduate of Bardstown High School where he played football. He participated in Jaycee’s and was a member of St. John AME Zion Church.

He is survived by one daughter, Mary Helen Crume of Bardstown; one son, Michael Nicholas Crume of Bardstown; one a sister, Mary Ann Murray; two brothers, John Joseph Murray and Samuel Mark Hood, both of Bardstown; four grandchildren; four nieces; two great-nieces; three great-nephews; and his pet dogs, Tank and Peanut.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2015, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with burial in the Bardstown Cemetery.

Visitation is 10 a.m.- 2p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
