4 TNHS students win top honors in Bluegrass Cellular PSA contest

Saturday, May 30, 2015 — Four Thomas Nelson High School students are the winners in the 2015 Drive Now. Text L8R public service announcement contest it was announced Thursday.
Kyle Adams, Eli Clark, Chloe Howard and Taryn Roby scored highest with their public service announcement titled “Do your friends a favor.”
The annual contest is a mobile safety initiative created by Bluegrass Cellular that challenges middle school and high school students to create public service announcements that encourage others to end distracted driving.
The student’s winning submission depicts an everyday conversation with friends that is cut short by the distracted driver. The video reminds viewers that texting while driving puts everyone in the car at risk, not just the driver.
The students received $1,000 and the opportunity to shadow Doe-Anderson, a Louisville-based advertising agency, for a day. In addition, “Do your friends a favor” will air on local television and in Bluegrass Cellular stores.
