Minit-mart operator arrested for alleged sexual abuse of store employee

Monday, June 1, 2015 — The operator of a local minit mart was arrested Monday and charged with sexual abuse charges stemming from an investigation of a complaint that he sexually abused an employee.

Kalabhai M. Patel, 45, was charged with two counts of first-degree sexual abuse Monday afternoon following an investigation that began when the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office was called Friday, May 29 at 4:40 to respond to Patel’s business, Fast Food Mart at 1151 Bloomfield Road. Patel was lodged in the Nelson County Jail.
