Man injured after his farm tractor is struck, rolls over on him

Wednesday, June 3, 2015 — A man in his mid-20s was injured Wednesday afternoon after the farm tractor he was operating was struck from the rear and overturned on him.
The accident happened on KY 55, the Springfield Road, south of the Bluegrass Parkway overpass, and was reported at about 3:30 p.m. Nelson County EMS and the Northeast Nelson Fire Department were dispatched to the crash. The farm tractor was hit from the rear by a Chevrolet pickup truck, severely damaging the front of the truck and turning the tractor over on top of the man driving it.
The man was freed from the tractor by the time EMTs arrived. He was transported to Flaget Memorial Hospital with severe back pain, upper chest pain and abrasions and bruises.
