Police continue searching for woman involved in Kroger store robbery

Tuesday, June 9, 2015, 1:45 p.m. — A female suspect faces possible robbery and assault charges after she allegedly assaulted a Kroger store loss prevention employee as she was being held on suspicion of shoplifting Monday evening. The assault happened about 9:29 p.m. as Bardstown Police were being dispatched to the store. The woman assaulted the employee, ran from the store and got in a red Kia Rio. The vehicle left the area before police arrived on the scene.
The woman and a male suspect believed to have been involved in the incident were identified, and police searched the area for the suspect’s vehicle. The car was located near some apartments in the Daffodil Drive area and impounded at about 2 a.m. Tuesday morning. As of Tuesday morning the suspects remained at large.
