Bardstown woman injured Monday after swerving to miss hitting deer

Monday, June 15, 2015, 11:20 a.m. — A Bardstown woman was injured early Monday morning when she swerved to miss a deer in the roadway on US 150, the Springfield Road.
At about 1:23 a.m., Brittany M. Wilson-Rogers, 25, was traveling west on Springfield Road near Cane Run Loop when she tried to avoid hitting a deer in the roadway. The 1994 Ford Crown Victoria left the road, went airborne, struck a tree and traveled more than 100 feet down an embankment. The victim was transported to Flaget Memorial Hospital by Nelson County EMS with lacerations to her arm and a head injury.
