Mildred Frances Newton Hester, 75, of Louisville, died Thursday, June 18, 2015, at Baptist Health Louisville. She was born April 19, 1940, in Munfordville.

She was preceded in death by her former husband, Joseph Thomas Newton, Sr.; two sons, Ricky Newton and Joseph Newton; her parents, Logan and Erma Mansfield; one sister, Thelma Alvey; and two brothers, Junior Mansfield and Robert Mansfield.

Survivors include one daughters, Robin Nelson (Ricky) of Louisville; one son, Dave Newton of Louisville; one sister, Sue Riggs of Louisville; 10 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren.

The Mass of Christian Burial is noon Saturday, June 20, 2015, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 3560 North Saint Francis Road, Loretto. Burial is in the church cemetery.

Visitation is 9-11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto.

The Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road in Loretto is in charge of the arrangements.
