KY 509, Fairfield Road, closed until Friday for culvert replacement

Monday, June 22, 2015 — KY 509, Fairfield Road, between Louisville Road and KY 48 in Fairfield will be closed to through traffic until Friday while Kentucky Department of Transportation crews replace a culvert.
Beginning Tuesday, June 23, crews will start replacing a concrete box culvert with two large pipes located at a point two-tenths of a mile west of Lyddane Lane between US 31E and KY 48. Work at this location should be complete by Friday. Motorists will need to use alternate routes to access either end of KY 509.
US31E UPDATE. Preliminary work continues on US 31E north of Cox’s Creek. Grigsby Lane in the High Grove area was closed last week, but work should not affect any state routes in the near future. Just north of the Nelson County line, Deerwood Lane is a crossing site for construction equipment and short delays may be possible. Most of the work on the work is taking place on new right-of-way at this time.
