Two people injured Monday night in two-car crash on Wire Lane

Tuesday, June 23, 2015, 1:35 a.m. — Two people suffered minor injuries Monday night in a two-car collision on Wire Lane. Nelson County EMS and the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the reported accident at 10:27 p.m. EMS transported the drivers — Christopher Girdley, 34, of Bardstown, with complaints of head, neck and abdominal pain, and Makenzie F. Sapp, 18, of Bloomfield, with complaints of arm and neck pain — to Flaget Memorial Hospital for evaluation and treatment.
According to a police report, Sapp was driving her car, a 2003 Nissan Altima, north on Wire Lane when she meet Girdley’s 2015 Chevrolet pickup truck in a curve on a hill. The vehicles struck the other’s left front bumper.
Deputy Levi Preston of the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office investigated the accident.
