Obituary: Gilbert ‘Gil’ Brady Milburn, 47, formerly of Bardstown

GILBERT “GIL” BRADY MILBURN

Gilbert “Gil” Brady Milburn, 47, formerly of Bardstown, died June 10, 2015, at his home in Oklahoma City after a long battle with cancer. He was born January 20, 1968, in Lebanon to Gilbert and Nancy Brady Milburn. He graduated from Bardstown High School, St. Catharine College and Campbellsville University. He was married July 28, 2000 in Louisville to Dee Ann Blackwell. He was employed at Vericrest Finance and Mortgage as an account specialist in Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his sweet sister, Emma Paige Milburn on July 10, 1984.

He is survived by his loving wife and parents; two sisters; Susan (Patrick) Puckett and Carolyn (Jason) Schepker; three nephews, Nathan Thomas Puckett, Michael Andrew Puckett and Gabriel Paul Schepker; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves behind his loving pets that he called his kids.

Cremation was chosen. His memorial service is 11 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2015, at Parkway Baptist Church with Dr. James Carroll officiating.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
