Obituary: Mary Ann Watson Gilpin, 69, Bardstown

Mary Ann Watson Gilpin, 69, of Bardstown, died Saturday, July 4, 2015, at her residence. She was born July 10, 1945, in Boston. She was a hairdresser and a member of Bardstown Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Malcom F. Adams; her parents, Perry and Grace Watson; one brother, Perry Watson; one granddaughter, Toni Michelle Fenwick; two great-grandsons, Aiden Lee, and Jacob Miles.

She is survived by her husband, James Gilpin of Bardstown; two daughters, Valerie (Tony) Miles of Cox’s Creek, and Melinda (Tony) Fenwick of New Haven; one stepdaughter, Frances (Daniel) Fick of Bardstown; four sisters, Janie Crask of Botland, Rose Watson of Bardstown, Fannie Lyddane of Bloomfield, and Sherry Ramaya of Hodgenville; one brother, Donnie Watson of Indiana; eight grandchildren, Justin Miles, April Lee, Caressa Bartley, Brandon Nalley, Derek Miles, Faith Fenwick, Ryan Donahue, and Blake Wiseman; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is noon Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at the Bardstown Church of God with burial in the Bardstown Cemetery with Pastor Doug Lutes officiating.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2015, at Barlow Funeral Home, and 9 a.m.-noon Tuesday at the Bardstown Church of God.

Memorial contributions may go to donor’s favorite charity.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
