Obituary: Samuel Garnett Cravens, 86, Lebanon Junction
Samuel Garnett Cravens, 86, of Lebanon Junction, died Friday, July 10, 2015, at his home. He was a former employee of General Electric and a member of Bardstown Junction Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Velma Burton Cravens; his parents, Tim and Kitty Ann Bryant Cravens; one a sister Sarah Moss; and four brothers, Logan Cravens, Paul Cravens, George Cravens and Charles Cravens.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Cravens; one daughter, Vicky Cummings (Marc); two sons, Garnett Michael Cravens and Roger Dale Cravens (Maureen); two sisters, Ann Conover and Eula Mae Wincke; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Monday, July 13, 2015, at the Bardstown Junction Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Harrison officiating. Burial is in Highland Memory Gardens.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Sunday, July 12, 2015, at the Kappel Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction, and after 11 a.m. Monday at the church.
Expressions of Sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society or Bardstown Junction Baptist Church.
