Obituary: Sarah Frances McMichael, 86, formerly of Taylorsville

Sarah Frances McMichael, 86, formerly of Taylorsville, died Saturday, July 4, 2015, at Mesa Christian Health and Rehab Center in Mesa, Ariz. She was born Nov. 29, 1928, in Spencer County to the late Everett and Katherine Rogers Thomas. She was a former private duty nurse and a member of the First Baptist Church of Taylorsville.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl “Doc” McMichael; and one brother, Clarence Thomas.

She is survived by two daughters, Martha Bartlett of Payson, Ariz. and Phyllis McMichael of Globe, Ariz.; three sons, Kenneth McMichael of Scottsburg, Ind., Mitchell “Mickey” McMichael of Payson, Ariz. and John E. McMichael of Mesa, Ariz.; one sister, Dorothy Miller of Fairdale; one brother, Karnes Thomas of Indiana; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The graveside service is 1 p.m. Friday, July 24, 2015, at Maple Grove Cemetery in Bloomfield.

The Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
