Obituary: Mary Alice Higdon, 86, Lebanon

MARY ALICE HIGDON

Mary Alice Higdon, 86, of Lebanon died Thursday, July 16, 2015, at the Nazareth Home in Louisville. She was born Feb. 8, 1929, in Washington County. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Cecil Higdon (2004); and her parents, Thomas Hershell and Claudia Prudie Cusick Willett.

Survivors include five daughters, Pam Doyle (Scott), Lois Roby (Ed) and Mary Jo Zipperle, all of Louisville, Dianne Quira (Tony) of Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., and Allie Heck (Ron) of Alexandria; two sons, Jimmy Higdon (Jane) and Bruce Higdon, both of Lebanon; five sisters, Shirley Wood and Josephine Adams, both of Louisville, Wanda Lewis of Willisburg, Wahseka Luckett of Bardstown and Juanita Reed of Springfield; two brothers, Charles Willett of Lexington and Arvie Mudd of Harrodsburg; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Monday, July 20, 2015, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Lebanon width burial in the Lebanon National Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday, July 19, 2015, at the Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon with a 7 p.m. prayer service by Deacon Joseph R. Dant.

The Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon is in charge of the arrangements.
