MARIE JOANN REKART SL
Sr. Marie Joann Rekart S.L., 78, of Nerinx, died Saturday, July 4, 2015, at the Loretto Motherhouse Infirmary. She was born March 19, 1937, in Brentwood, Mo. to the late John Edward and Annabelle Catherine Rickard. She entered religious life in 1955 and received her final vows Aug. 15, 1963. She earned her master’s degree in Special Education in 1972 from Northern Illinois University. Her assignments and ministries were located in Missouri and Colorado. She moved to the Loretto Motherhouse last year.
A Memorial Mass is 10 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015, at the Loretto Motherhouse Church, 515 Nerinx Road, Nerinx.
Her wake is 6:30 p.m. Friday, July 24, 2015, the Motherhouse.
The Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto is in charge of the arrangements.
