EARL H. BRINEY

Earl H. Briney, 74, of Bardstown, died Saturday, July 18, 2015, at his residence. He was born June 24, 1941, in Bardstown. He was a farmer who worked at Bardstown Fire Department for 25 years and former Lieutenant. He was a former EMT and was a member of Botland Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Emma Briney; two sisters, Lib Pendergrass and Elsie Blanford; and one brother, L. “Bud” Briney Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Georgia Montgomery Briney of Bardstown; three sons, Kevin (Gina) Briney of Fort Mitchell, Chris (Courtney) Briney of Bardstown, and Ken (Rachel) Briney of Bloomfield; seven grandchildren, Alex, Abby, Emma, Carly, Patricia, Jack, and Paul Briney; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, 21015, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in the Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Eldon Morgan will officiate.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday, July 20, 2015, and 9-11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may go to WHAS Crusade For Children.

The Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
