Obituary: Agnes Louise Avery Stackhouse, 75, Bardstown
Agnes Louise Avery Stackhouse, 75, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at her residence. She was born July 19, 1939, to the late Herb and Florilla Barnes Neitzel. She was a homemaker and enjoyed being with her family and friends. She loved to cook and bake. She touched many hearts in her years and many of people called her mamaw, grandma, gg and weezy to name a few. She was proud of receiving her GED.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Billy Joe Avery; her second husband, Wendall K. Stackhouse; one sister, Patricia Brothers; and two brothers-in-law, Jack Brothers and Leon Lane.
She is survived by one daughter, Pam Swenstad of Bardstown; three sons, David Avery of Sylvania, Ga., Dan Avery and Scott Avery, both of Bardstown; two sisters, Bernice Lane of Bardstown and Dorie (George) Mitchell of Waldren, Ind.; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is 11 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015, at the Abundant Life Church with Brother George Mitchell officiating followed with a private burial.
Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
