HATTIE LOU RIGGS

Hattie Lou Riggs, 78, of Louisville, died Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. She was born Nov. 24, 1936. in Springfield. She was a retired bookkeeper for Riggs Demolition Company. She was a member of the Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America, and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Ursula Mudd; and one sister, Mary Virginia Mudd.

She is survived by her former husband, Tommy Riggs of Springfield; one daughter, Ann Riggs of Springfield; two sons, Steve Riggs of Bardstown and Garry Riggs of Mount Washington; eight brothers and sisters, Mary Lilly, Rita Clements, Cathy New, Emily Mattingly, Joe Howard Mudd, Ronald Mudd, Anthony Mudd, and Brenda Hulker; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with burial in Highland Memory Gardens in Mount Washington with the Rev. Maurice Hayes officiating.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2015, and 8-9:45 a.m. Wednesday at Barlow Funeral Home.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
