LARRY DENNIS

Larry Dennis, 68, of Bloomfield, died Saturday, July 25, 2015. at his home. He was born May 20, 1947, in Bloomfield to the late Orville and Minnie Coomes Dennis. He was a retired employee of American Fuji Seal with 35 years of service. He was a former president of the United Steel Workers Local 1241, an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, and a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Brent Ashley Dennis.

He is survived by his wife, Vanda Langley Dennis; two daughters, Tonya (Dru) Hulak of Taylorsville and Marla (Chris) Stiles of New Hope; one sister, Brenda Prather of Chaplin; two brothers, Ronnie Dennis of Bloomfield and Donnie Dennis of Bardstown; and five grandchildren, Corey Williams, Blane Hulak, Jarret Stiles, Bailey Stiles and Colby Stiles.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the Rev. Bill Hammer officiating. Burial is in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Fairfield.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2015.

The Houghlin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
