Obituary: William G. ‘Bill’ White Sr., 80, Loretto
William G. “Bill” White Sr., 80, of Loretto, went to be with his Heavenly Father Monday, July 27, 2015. He was born April 6, 1935, in Elkins, W.Va., the second of seven children. He was a crane operator for American Crane in Hawaii and a member of Operating Engineers Local No. 3. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War; an honorary graduate of Marion County High School, and a 19-year member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Margaret Kerr White and two brothers, Tommy White and Donald White.
Survivors include his wife, Roxy Mosley White; three daughters, Susie Pearson (Rick) of Michigan and Creasa Fisher and Stephanie Locke (Tim), both of Lebanon; one son, William White Jr. of California; three sisters, Janet Lytle and Sharyon Kerr, both of Elkins, W.Va. and Margaret Sumner of Texas; one brother, John White of Louisville; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Cremation was chosen. A Memorial Service is 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015, at Bethlehem United Church of Christ, 1480 South 6th St., Louisville, KY 40208.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial donations to Bethlehem United Church of Christ.
