Bardstown man arrested Monday on sex abuse, sodomy charges

Tuesday, July 28, 2015, 3 p.m. — A Bardstown man was arrested on sex-related charges Monday after an investigation by Bardstown Police of an incident that happened earlier in July.
Charles Anthony Armstrong, 42, was charged for first-degree sexual abuse and first-degree sodomy after a police investigation of a complaint that Armstrong allegedly engaged in sexual contact with a female victim under the age of 12. He was lodged in the Nelson County Jail.
Bardstown Police Detective Lynn Davis and the state Child Protective Services opened investigations after allegations were made to CPS of an incident that happened on or about July 7, 2015.
