Obituary: Vera Jane Sweat Walker, 84, Lebanon Junction
Vera Jane Sweat Walker, 84, of Lebanon Junction, died Friday, July 31, 2015, at Helmwood Health and Rehabilitation Center in Elizabethtown. She was a member of the Lebanon Junction First Christian Church and a retired clerk for Ferrell Gas Company.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Walker; her parents, Charles Daniel and Lula Belle Monroe Sweat; and one brother, Gordon Sweat.
Survivors include two sons, Danny Walker (Cheryl) and David Walker (Vicki); one step-daughter, Sheryl Siegle; one sister, Shirley Hourigan; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchilden.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 3, 2015, at the Lebanon Junction First Christian Church with Bro. Tim Dennis officiating. Burial is in the Lebanon Junction City Cemetery.
Visitation is 1-8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, 2015, at the Kappel Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction and after 10 a.m. Monday at the church.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association.
